Robin Morning

While growing up in sunny Santa Monica, California, Robin Morning spent her winter weekends at Mammoth Mountain, ski racing under the guidance of Dave McCoy. In 1965, she was named to the U.S. National A Ski Team and in 1968 to the U.S. Olympic team. Skiing a training run on the downhill the day before the Grenoble opening ceremonies, she suffered a severely broken leg. While recovering from this accident, Robin decided to pursue other life goals. During the past twenty years she has devoted most of her energy to capturing the story of Eastern Sierra skiing, Dave McCoy, & Mammoth Mountain and writing two books: Tracks of Passion and For the Love of It.
