Jill E. Kross has been a conductor on the railroad for over seventeen years. As a conductor for Amtrak, she currently rides the rails in Upstate New York along the Hudson River, the very line over which the story is based. Jill is both a United States Navy and Army veteran. Born and raised in Rensselaer, New York, she now lives in Albany with her husband, Joe, and her two step children, Joey and Lauren. When not working on the Hudson Line, Jill enjoys reading, cooking, and a good bottle of Red.
